Abstract
Hydroxyapatite has been used as implant material, because it has the character of excellent organism affinity. But it lacks mechanical strength, for example bending strength and elasticity. So, we try to composite HAp powder with Tyranno fiber to increase mechanical strength and to curb the destruction action. Tyranno fiber has the heat resistance and the oxidation resistance. In this study, we evaluated mechanical strength of the specimen by three point bending test and observed the breaking surface by SEM.
