Abstract
In Japan, the high school curriculum guidelines by the government, so called Yutori education, were performed from the 2003 fiscal year. Then, the students who enter in a university from the 2006 to 2016 fiscal year are educated by this guideline. Therefore, the university needs to educate the student in consideration of the influence of Yutori till the 2021 fiscal year, when even the graduate school master's course is considered. In this lecture, mathematics ability of the university student who received Yutori education is made into the theme. A presenter reports their actual condition and the correspondence to the university student in the department of mechanical system engineering faculty of engineering Gunma University to which he belongs. In order to improve a mathematics ability of the student of the faculty of engineering, the countermeasure from the first academic year is fundamentally required. As a realistic countermeasure in the department, the student is made to understand the details of the contents which are not regularly learned at both a high school and a university, and the text in which self-learning is possible is prepared for the student.
