What is the main legislation which relates to health and safety issues in respect of display screen equipment? Why do we need to worry about the health and safety aspects of using display screens, keyboards, etc.? Do the Regulations affect everybody who uses display screen equipment? Examples of display screen users Is it easy to define who is not a user of display screen equipment? Are employees who work at home covered by the Regulations? What is a ‘workstation’ and how do the Regulations apply to these? Is it necessary to complete a Risk Assessment for each workstation and user or operator? Do the Regulations only require an employer to carry out these Risk Assessments? What are the ‘minimum specified requirements’ for workstations? Do all workstations have to be modified to meet these requirements? What are the main areas to pay attention to when carrying out a workstation assessment or Risk Assessment? Are all display screen equipment users entitled to an eyesight test and a free pair of glasses?
