Abstract

Pediatric primary care providers (PCPs) are often tasked with the treatment of mental health disorders. The UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Portal (CAPP) is a child psychiatry access program (CPAP) that provides pediatric psychiatry consultations to PCPs in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and non-FQHC clinics throughout Northern California. This study examines how the COVID-19 pandemic affected mental health care in pediatric primary care settings through the lens of psychiatric consultation.
