Abstract

Percutaneous biliary drainage catheters placed by interventional radiologists are effective at decompressing the biliary system, but further management or diagnosis of associated diseases is usually performed surgically or via transoral endoscopy. Percutaneous antegrade choledochoscopy (PAC) through such catheters may increase the treatment/diagnostic options available in the setting of percutaneous drainage. This study evaluates the outcomes and results of a newly instituted PAC program.
