Abstract
The title compound, C24H26O6, is a caged-polyprenylated xanthone which has been isolated for the first time from the roots of C. cochinchinese. The cyclohexane ring adopts a standard boat conformation, the cyclohexene rings are in twisted boat and twist-boat conformations, and the tetrahydrofuran ring has an envelope conformation. The structure is stabilized by intramolecular C—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. C—H⋯O intermolecular hydrogen bonds and C—H⋯π stacking interactions link the molecules into molecular sheets parallel to the bc plane.
