Abstract

Activity or functional limitations are common in adolescents with chronic pain, and are typically measured by subjective self-report. Actigraphy uses motion-monitoring to provide data about sleep and activity levels, and may provide useful objective data about activity in adolescents with chronic pain. The purpose of this study was to compare activity levels of adolescents with chronic pain and healthy adolescents using actigraphy and subjective measures, and investigate relations between actigraphy and subjective measures of activity limitations, fatigue, and depression.
