Abstract

Abstract Background Total knee replacement (TKR) is a very successful operation but like all surgery carries risks. Patients can be readmitted, but not all necessarily linked to post-operative complications. National Joint Registry for England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man: 17th annual report, 2020, Prosthetic infection after total knee replacement is (TKR) of average 0.92%. Aim To identify causes of readmission after TKR & their frequency, within 30 days of surgery. Method Data spanning 2 years (Apr 2018- Apr 2020) were analysed.
