Abstract
Differential pressure transmitter with an orifice is widely used as a major field flowmeter. This type flowmeter is sometimes in trouble because of an impulse line blockage. Hence, applying characteristics of pressure fluctuation reduction by this trouble, this paper develops a detection method of the impulse line blockage with multi-sensing differential pressure transmitter in steady-state oil line that can change kinetic viscosity from 10 to 50[cSt]. In this investigation, laminar flow has smaller pressure fluctuation than turbulent flow, however, the method can detects impulse line blockage in any state of flow.
