Abstract

Recently, Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) displays have been widely adopted in vehicles. However, OLED displays face a challenge in that color and luminance become distorted significantly depending on the viewing angle. This issue is particularly crucial for the Center Information Display (CID) installed to the right of the driver, which is always viewed at an angle. To address this problem, this paper proposes a software‐based method to compensate for the color and luminance distortions caused by viewing angles in vehicle OLED displays. This method involves analyzing the degree of distortion at different angles and applying corrections accordingly. We have validated the effectiveness of this approach through a series of experiments.
