Adolescents with suicidal ideation and behaviors often communicate their distress online to peers, which suggests that digital tools could be an important way to prevent adolescent suicide. Our objectives for this presentation are as follows: 1) to describe how hospitalized adolescents use digital media to communicate suicidality; and 2) to summarize systematic reviews of digital tools for adolescent suicide prevention.
