Abstract

Quality adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) services (e.g., gynecologic, contraceptive, and sexually transmitted diseases [STD] services) can reduce rates of unintended pregnancies, HIV, and other STDs and improve health equity. Despite ASRH practice recommendations from national organizations, including the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, gaps in implementation persist. To support scale-up of ASRH-related quality improvement (QI) efforts, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has funded the Quality and Access for Reproductive Health Equity for Teens project, which includes the collation of change strategies (i.e., actionable strategies that can be rapidly implemented and evaluated to assess improvements) and existing tools/resources into a QI package.
