Abstract

The most common cause of acute cough are upper respiratory tract infections, but chronic one can be a symptom of many other lung diseases such as bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, as well as extrapulmonary pathologies. Dry cough can be a bothersome symptom that should be limited to allow daily functioning. It changes not only the quality of life and the quality of sleep of a sick person, it is also associated with significant economic costs. In therapy, we use only a few active substances, one of them is levodropropizine. The following paper discusses its clinical value.
