Abstract
In the course of a study of keto lactams, treatment of 8-chloro-1,10a-dihydropyrrolo[1,2-b]isoquinoline-3,10(2H,5H)-dione with concentrated hydrochloric acid was realised. The packing of the resultant dimeric compound, C24H18N2O2Cl2, is governed by the formation of π-stacking interactions.
