Abstract
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder associated with a myriad of adverse outcomes. Medication is known to be effective but is limited by side effects. Mindfulness improves attention in healthy adults, as well as adults with ADHD, and 2 small studies in teenagers with ADHD have shown preliminary evidence of efficacy. To our knowledge, however, there are no standardized mindfulness interventions for children with ADHD, nor has it been studied in a rigorous research setting in children.
