Abstract

Since that JNK kinase was activated in a similar manner in response to short time treatments, up to 4 h, with both 7-ketocholesterol and 5,6-secosterol, we have done unfortunately an evident mistake in the preparation of the panel C Figure 1 in the paper we published in the Journal of Cellular Physiology (Anticoli et al., 2010). In particular, we have inadvertently prepared the panel C using two western blot images of data obtained with 7-ketocholesterol (already used for panel A preparation) instead of those obtained with 5,6-secosterol at the final concentration of 10−7 and 10−5 mM. Here, we show the new Figure 1 with the western blot bands obtained with 5,6-secosterol treatment. As it is evident, the results obtained with the two oxysterols are very similar and for this reason nothing of what we have discussed and concluded, neither the figure legend, in the original paper need to be changed.
