Abstract
In recent years, increasing number of reports emphasize the benefit of duodenal bulb biopsies (BB) besides distal duodenum biopsies (DDB) for the diagnosis of Celiac Disease (CD) (1,2,3). In this prospective study, for the first time, we aimed to investigate the aid of additional BB on diagnosing of CD based on sufficiency of endoscopic appearance of duodenum for celiac disease, as scalloping or paucity of folds, mosaic pattern (cracked-mud), sawtooth image (layering) of fold edges, nodularity, prominence of submucosal vessels.
