Abstract

To evaluate the endometrial cavity and its histopathologic results in women with postmenopausal bleeding. The following histopathology was found in 26 cases under study: normal endometrium 35.2%, polyps 22.3%, myoma 13.1%, myoma and polyp 11.4%, endometrial hyperplasia 14.8%, adenocarcinoma 2.2%. Abdominal hysterectomy was done in patients with hyperplasia and adenocarcinoma. Endometrial ablation and resection was done in other patients, with no bleeding until the days of follow-up.
