Abstract
The goals of this presentation are to: 1) identify parental and adolescent concerns regarding social media use; 2) recognize current shortcomings in psychiatric training when it comes to social media competence and propose future directions; and 3) discuss future roles for the child and adolescent psychiatrist at the advocacy, consultant, and political levels when it comes to adolescent social media use.
