Abstract
The water hammer phenomenon occurs in water supply piping in common residence and building due to the sudden valve closure of one-touch lever. What was more excellent in both cost and the construction is desired as the device. In this study, the erection branch pipe of the different diameters is installed in a horizontal pipeline as a model of a water hammer absorber, and the effects of the air mixing and the orifice on the water hammer phenomenon are investigated.
