Abstract
Seven of the high-flux pseudo-white LEDs with side-emitting azimuth radiation patterns are coupled into the bulk of a micro-structured light-guide plate to illuminate a 16.51-cm diagonal navigation system. The luminance, the luminance uniformity and the power consumption are equal to that of a conventional navigation system with CCFL. The navigation system with LED is the first product massproduced worldwide.
