Abstract

With the advent of newer imaging modalities, the indications for use of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) have changed within the last decade. Data has shown that the use of ERCP continues to increase. Common bile duct stones and biliary strictures are among the most common indications for ERCP. However, these studies are older and may exhibit trends prior to many recent advances in the world of therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy. Thus, the aim of this study is to assess the inpatient prevalence of ERCP, outcomes, and the most common indications.
