70th Anniversary of the IEEE IAS PCIC: Rick Bried and Johnny Wynn, Guest Authors [History

Abstract

In the September/October 2013 issue of <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">IEEE Industry Applications Magazine</i> , an article was published commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Committee (PCIC). The IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) PCIC conference is now approaching its 70th anniversary, which will be held in New Orleans, LA, USA, 11–14 September 2023. The purpose of this article is to review the evolution of the PCIC to our 60th anniversary and then our continuing development to the 70th anniversary.
