Abstract

In this study we make clear the characteristics of an air suspension with a viscous damping restriction and a reservoir tank. In low frequency region, the damping caused by viscousity of restrictotion relatively large. In high frequency region, restrictor chokes due to the compressibility of air and only the main cylinder acts as an air suspension. In order to reducing resonance amplitude and variance of amplitude, it is necessary to increase the volume of the reservoir tank. In these case, we can choose the optimal value of flow coefficient of viscous restriction to minimize resonance amplitude or variance of amplitude.
