Abstract

This chapter presents the classification of random pulse sequences and one of the possible methods of calculating the correlation functions for rectangular random pulse sequences. In the development of the decoding system, it would be interesting to know how to select the parameters of the decoding system that realizes, on the level specified, the separated reproduction of v% out of a sufficiently great total number N of random pulses. The energy spectrum for random pulse sequences, as shown by Stratonovich, might be obtained by the means of the characteristic equation for durations and intervals. The chapter presents a classification of random pulse sequences both, with and without accumulation, overlapping and nonoverlapping. A general formula is obtained for correlation functions.
