Abstract

In this chapter, the discussion is focused on the research on sugarcane bagasse (SB) and its composite with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composites. SB is a byproduct of the cane sugar industry. Using sugarcane as filler in PVC composites is an effort to transform the valueless waste into a more valuable material. The discussion includes the processing and the testing of the composite material after various treatments. The results show that the PVC SB composite is of potential for some applications.
