Abstract

Quantitative research on the solubility of gases in liquids appeared with the pioneering work of Bunsen “Ober das Gesetz der Gasabsorption.” Through years, there have been intense changes and activities concerning the solubility of gases in liquids. The solubility of gases in liquids has been studied for years, obtaining accurate values of Henry fugacities or Ostwald coefficients have often proved to be difficult. Given this wide scope, it is not surprising that the subject of the solubility of gases in liquids has such a vast literature. Because of this diversity, a certain variation of experimental as well as theoretical methods used in each of these areas is almost inevitable.
