Abstract

The visual fatigue caused by one hour’s viewing of High‐Dynamic Range (HDR) and Standard‐Dynamic Range (SDR) display has been investigated through subjective reports, ophthalmological parameters and physiological signals. The results show that visual fatigue becomes more serious with increasing time under the two modes. Compared to SDR display, one hour of viewing HDR display produces significantly greater tired eyes symptom and low frequency power (LF) of heart rate variability.
