Abstract

Alpha-ferric oxide, chromic oxide, activated carbon, and graphite were examined as a support medium for a 68Ge 68Ga generator stable against chemicals and radiation. Alpha-ferric oxide is found to be a suitable material for the generator. The elution yield of 68Ga from the column of α-ferric oxide with adsorbed 68Ge(IV) was 50–70% with a HCl solution of pH 2.0. The breakthrough of 68Ge was 6 × 10 −6−2 × 10 −4.
