Abstract

Uterine rupture is one of the worst obstetrical emergencies. While studies have shown that the type of uterine closure (single layer vs double layer) could impact the risk of uterine rupture, this association remains controversial. We aimed to evaluate the role of uterine closure on the risk of uterine scar defect (uterine rupture & dehiscence) according to the best available evidence.
