Abstract

The 66th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology (ADD) convened in San Antonio, TX, USA in early February. Despite the pleasant weather in this south Texas city, many would-be participants never made it to the home of the Alamo due to the severe snowstorms in the Mid-West. The attendance was lower than 2007, but this may have been due to the recent World Congress of Dermatology in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Most AAD annual meetings follow the same format with courses, forums, seminars and plenary sessions that offer something for everyone. One changed aspect of the meeting was the lack of printed scientific posters. We were disappointed in not being able to browse through the posters, meet the presenters and discuss the merits of a presentation with another registrant also viewing the poster.
