Abstract

This article gives a short review on current development fields of hole transport materials for organic light emitting diodes. A special focus is set on the paradigm shift observed by an increasing relevance to control panel performance parameters beyond classical device characteristics like driving voltage, efficiency, and lifetime. This requires new material design approaches by new measurement and simulation techniques as well as new molecular properties to be considered in material design concepts.
