Abstract

AbstractThe International Space Station (ISS) integrated verification process was developed to provide a disciplined systems engineering approach for the verification of the ISS specification requirements and to provide a traceable archive of verification data needed to sustain ISS operations. This paper describes and illustrates a tailored version of how Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and decision analysis techniques were used to restructure the ISS integrated verification process. This tailored approach has been accomplished to facilitate the use of QFD and decision analysis by systems engineers and can be used for other systems engineering processes for small or large‐scale integration programs.
