Abstract

Several hyperthermic endometrial ablation (EA) methods are available for treating dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB), including rollerball (RB), thermal balloon (TB) and radiofrequency (RFA) devices. Up to 15% of these patients may have a hysterectomy to control continued bleeding, which is often attributed residual endometrium. A detailed histologic evaluation of treatment failures has not been well documented.
