Abstract

AbstractDual Paraboloid Reflectors (DPRs) are passive optical components that compensate etendue‐increasing aberrations introduced by traditional single reflector systems. This compensation multiplies the lifetime and useable light output of conventional arc lamps in electronic projectors and other imaging systems. DPR principles, advantages, technical status and commercial status will be presented.
