Abstract

In recent years, Active Magnetic Bearings (AMBs) characterized by non-contact support have been applied in rotors for industrial use, and research to achieve higher performance is currently underway. The Purpose of this research is to pass the 2nd bending critical speed in the flexible rotor supported by AMBs, and also to reduce the vibration of 3rd bending mode at rated speed (250rps). This paper deals with the results of passing the 2nd bending critical speed during a rotational test utilizing a modal balancing method. As a result of balancing, a reduced unbalance vibration is demonstrated.
