Abstract
Medical images can be segmented using software to isolate anatomy of interest and produce 3D models. This technology has been used to produce 3D models of bones to plan surgery and design prosthesis. 3D models have been shown to aid in treatment planning, teaching and communication. However, they have been limited by access to software and trained technicians. This is the first study validating a training tool to teach clinicians to produce 3Dmodels and showing the learners perceived positive impact on their clinical practice.
