Abstract

PTV_EVAL volume did not correlate with aspirated seroma volume in our study. Conclusions: In our study, seroma accumulation seemed to have a variable pattern of development with no discernible predictors of occurrence. During a course of fractionated partial breast brachytherapy, serial aspirations via vacuum port, when available, should be considered for all patients to potentially improve dosimetry and reproducibility of PTV_EVAL. Further study is needed to establish factors predictive for seroma accumulation and resultant clinical significance.
