Abstract
The adsorption chiller can driven by waste heat at near ambient temperature. In the previous study, 2stage and Sstage cycles are presented for operating with waste heat below 60℃; the previous studies have been experimented with each machine. For comparing with each cycle, however, it is important to experiment with same conditions in same machine. Therefore, 6bed adsorption chiller is designed The experimental prototype machine can be operated in each mode with the same conditions; the operating mode depends on the heat source temperature. The present study experiments in various cycles and aims at establishing the optimum operating conditions in adsorption refrigeration cycle at each heat source temperature. In the present experiment, SCP (specific cooling power), and COP (coefficient of performance) of each cycle are compared; heat source temperature, mass flow rate of chilled water, and cycle times are parameter. An experiment result shows that the adsorption refrigeration cycle has the optimum operating conditions at each heat source temperature.
