Abstract
We present the key parameters to achieve maximized image quality for mid‐ to large‐size displays and will show that LCD technology excels in all these parameters thus providing the best possible image quality currently on the market. We present a solution based on combining perovskite QDs, mini‐LED backlights and KSF phosphor to further boost both color gamut and peak brightness at the same time allowing to bring the image quality of the best LCD displays to the next level. Furthermore we show that such displays are not just a vision but are close to market entry which will extend the lead of LCD technology even more compared to all other technologies used in mid/large‐size displays at present and in the future.
