Abstract

The concept of clinical high risk for psychosis (CHR-P) has been present since the 1990s. However, it is only through more recent increases in worldwide research publications and increased specialty CHR-P clinics that the epidemiology of this patient population is being better understood. The prospective concept of CHR-P replaces the retrospective concept of the prodromal period of psychosis.
