Abstract
The analysis, which takes into consideration a condensation of superheated steam in the early stage of superheated steam drying, had hardly been done. We made a test apparatus for measuring a mass change of dried material in superheated steam drying and in air drying. In this study, we measured the drying rates and compared the characteristic drying curves of superheated steam drying with that of air drying. Next we calculated constant drying rates for several Reynolds numbers. From calculation results, we found an inversion point temperature became about 350℃.
