Abstract
Sheet hydroforming is known as one of effective methods of improving formability. However, determination of optimal control of hydraulic pressure, blankholding pressure, and punch travel is necessary to achieve better formability than that in conventional stamping. This paper presents the development of sheet hydroforming simulation program by static-explicit finite element method. The simulated results of the cylinder deep-drawing were compared with experimental results and showed good agreements. This confirmed the validity of the developed code.
