61.4 Action, Not Perfection: A COVID-19 Response Story About Using a Lean Kaizen Event to Develop Wraparound Care for Children and Youth with ASD and Complex Needs

Abstract

The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) program was developed to address the needs of children and youth whose extensive and complex needs surpass the capacity of our existing healthcare system. In Ontario and many other jurisdictions, there is a huge gap in services to meet the complex needs of these families. In this presentation, we describe the process involved in developing the WRAP program, highlight the successes, and describe how challenges were met and overcome.
