Abstract
Nonuniform deformation observed in mild steel under uniaxial tension of thin plate with a hole and under skin pass rolling of sheet is studied by FEM analysis. A sharp yield drop is taken into account in the simulation by means of Hahn's constitutive equation. The FEM analysis shows that plastic deformation concentrates around net section under thin plate with a hole and distribution of rolling pressure in contact with the roll has a peek under skin pass rolling of sheet, when the material has a sharp yield drop.
