Abstract

In recoil years, for reduction measures of exhaust gas, measurement method called CVS (Constant Volume Sampling) has a limit in precision to measure concentration. Therefore, it comes to need that exhaust gas concentration is directly measured in the tail pipe. However, it is quite difficult to measure pulsating flow rate with back flow at idling. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to develop the most suitable flowmeter for measurement of pulsating flow. From author's previous reports, fiequency counted among output of averaging pitot tube flowineter conesponded with frequency of pulsating flow in several flowmeters. For such occasions, for further clarification of the dynamic characteristics of its flowmeter, the experimental tests (output characteristics of its flowmeter, visualization by Mie scattering and LDV for pulsating flow) was conducted.
