Abstract

Under free stream, turbulence intensity and fluctuation of velocity effect substantially and routinely HAWT blade aerodynamic response. To comprehend the changing response, blade surface pressure distribution data were acquired from wind tunnel testing. The measurement Reynolds number (Re) were (1,2,3,4,5)×105, and angle of attack was varied between -90 and 90 degree. A characteristic in the fluctuating flow was compared with in a steady flow in the measurement. As a result, a lift coefficient and lift drag ratio in fluctuating flow degrease at each Re. therefore design of a blade that was considered flow condition is needed
