Abstract

A two-bit reflection-type phase shifter (RTPS) is fabricated using 0.13 µm CMOS process for 60 GHz operation. The reflective loads in the RTPS are designed to achieve minimal loss with use of shunt switches and body-floating resistors. The measurement shows an average insertion loss of 6.4 dB for four phase states with the worst case loss of 7.7 dB at 60 GHz.
