Abstract
Abstract The preparation of 6-(triphenylsilyl)fulvene and 6-methyl-6-(triphenylsilyl)fulvene has been achieved by the reaction of triphenylsilyllithium with the corresponding 6-(dimethylamino)fulvenes, followed by hydrolysis and elimination of dimethylamine from the isolated intermediates.
