Abstract

Adolescents with chronic disease who are learning self-management skills may benefit from ongoing use of practical tools. Little is known about the willingness of adolescents to keep tools provided in clinic settings. We evaluated whether adolescents will keep a wallet-sized medical “passport” designed to assist adolescents with disease self-management, and characteristics associated with sustained use.
